Parents. Love your children. Show them the love of the Father. Look at them. Really see them. We are created in God's image. When we look at one another, we are not just looking. We are seeing the Father in each other. Likewise, show your children that you truly see them as God's creation. Cherish them. When we do it unto these little ones, we do it to Jesus.
If we don't steward the love of the Father within our children, it makes it more difficult for them to see themselves. And if they can't see themselves, they learn not to look at themselves. And when they learn not to look at themselves, all they will see are the ones around them.
Then, sometime later in life, the grief can no longer be hidden away under the surface. Since they can not see themselves properly, it begins to enjoin with the pain that comes from that. This is how pointing fingers, misplaced blame, and the persecution of others begin to manifest. They are unable to face the truth within themselves because they have forgotten. All they can feel is the pain, and all they can see is red. The love they once had in their hearts begins to grow cold. The lights in their eyes begin to dim, and they fail to give its light-In the light of day or in the dark of night.
Gather your children to you as the Father has gathered you unto himself. Show them the love He has freely given you. Stewarding love stewards trust, the two together build faith and reinforce the truth of Christ. I love you. God is with you. Shalom Shalom
