I was under heavy attack from the enemy yesterday. I needed prayer and my family prayed for me. There is power in the tongue. There is power in prayer. The prayers of a righteous person are very effective.
We are made right in God's sight through the blood of Christ and through our faith-that's the definition of righteous. It is impossible to please God without faith. And so the definition of self righteous is to be right only with self. That's why, sometimes-not all the time, prayers are not answered. Heart posture has a lot to do with it.
Yes we pray on behalf of ourselves to the Father, but we should gather in Jesus name and pray for others--that's more powerful. To pray freely for others is a great gift given us by God. And so it only makes sense that when we choose life, instead of praying by our worldy sight, we are blessed even more. It's a double edged sword in that respect.
He has set before us life and death. So we should choose encouraging life giving words, rather than hurtful death dealing words. We are blessed or cursed by the intent of our words. And our words and deeds are a direct reflection of what is in our heart. I pray this is an encouraging word and edifies your spirit. In Jesus name. Amen. I love you. God is with you. Shalom Shalom
