Spiritual Paralysis

Who among you finds themselves paralyzed by division?  Of others?  Within yourself?  I, too suffer from paralysis but Jesus makes me well.  His word helps me through my trials of feuding.  There are many forms spiritual paralysis may manifest.  One of the main ones for me is the conflict within myself-deciphering God's will for my life and my beliefs contrary to it.  It has lead me down a path that results in conflict not only with others, but as internal dilemmas that lead to moral decay that is doubt.

God tells us that there will be division within kingdoms and houses.  From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three-this is indicated in Luke 12:52.   Every city or house divided against itself will not stand-this is indicated in Matthew 12:25.  In John 5:5 God said, "Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years."

Do you recognize a pattern in these scriptures?  A pattern within your own life and experiences?  Jesus came to bring a sword, not peace, and it is our responsibility to choose peace.  This is a difficult task.  The message of Christ we share may not be received with open arms and that lines up with what God has told us.  We are but human, and Jesus was too.  He shows me even though he brings division, he also gives us peace to bring to these situations.  I will stand in faith, pick up my cross and walk in peace.  We will stand in faith, pick up our cross, and walk in peace.  In Jesus name.  Amen.  I love you.  Shalom Shalom
